Easter

I had been working on a post about Easter, but I was not happy with it. I kept tinkering, but it just wasn't working.

I don't think I can say it any better than Richard Rohr: " Most of human life is Holy Saturday, a few days of life are Good Friday, but there only needs to be one single Easter Sunday for us to know the final and eternal pattern. We now live inside of such cosmic hope."

Happy Easter, everyone!

  1. Something struck me during the amazing Easter service at church this morning...as big a deal as the church rightly makes about Easter, we often fail to accurately convey the all-encompassing hope that it heralds. It's not just about getting into heaven when we die; it's about the breaking of all the shackles that hinder us now. And it's not just for a chosen few--it's for everyone. Now THAT deserves a hallelujah!
